About Us
The Indian Heart Foundation, also known as the Indian Heart Association, is a non-profit organization founded by a group of non-resident Indians who were personally affected by heart disease along with like-minded friends living in India.
The major goal of the foundation is to raise awareness about preventative cardiac health by conducting cardiac camps among the Indian populace. We are also partnering with local physicians to improve cardiac screening in community health clinics.
To date, we have conducted several cardiac camps in rural areas in the state of Tamil Nadu, among IT workers and day laborers.
We have recently conducted a successful cardiac camp in the city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India for the first time on 27th December 2011 at Daspalla Hotel, Road No. 37, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, India (Please visit the News and Events section).
We intend to take our series of “healthy heart camps” to the next level by working with the local government, hospital groups, and private donors to expand the scope and influence of our efforts.
So far, we partnered with Cardiologists and Family Practice Physicians from Apollo Hospitals, KIMS Hospitals, Narayana Hridayalaya, and Vishnu Hospital; Corporations, Film Producers, and Philanthropists.
