To date, the Indian Heart Foundation has conducted several cardiac camps in rural areas in the state of Tamil Nadu, among IT workers and day laborers.

We recently conducted a successful cardiac camp for the first time in the city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India on 27th December 2011 at Daspalla Hotel, Road No. 37, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, India. Cardiologist Dr. Dayasagar from KIMS Hospitals, Hyderabad and Cardiologist Dr. Indrani from Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad led this cardiac camp.
More than 250 people attended the session and received free cardiovascular and metabolic screenings including:
- Lifestyle questionnaire, brief physical exam including blood pressure screenings
- Fasting metabolic profile including:
- Complete blood picture (CBP)
- Fasting Plasma Glucose
- Fasting Lipid profile
- Serum Creatinine
- Personalized counseling including diet, exercise, family counseling, stress reduction techniques, medication and intervention options.
